Forest MunKis is an all weather outdoor program for children aged 0-6 and their caregivers - except for conditions posing a safety hazard of course!
A drop-off option for 3-8 year olds will be launched in summer 2020.
Your child will enjoy loads of forest fun including short hikes, practicing basic survival skills, and lots of arts and crafts, songs and creative play!
Children are encouraged to bring a small backpack with a snack, a water bottle, a change of clothes, including an extra pair of dry socks and disposable hand and toe warmers for very cold days.
Classes are designed to provide your child with the right balance of structured routines, semi-instructed projects and plenty of free play.
We begin every class with our Welcome song, have a snack about halfway through the class and rap everything up with our Farewell song.
We give children ideas for exciting projects and they bring them to life using their creativity and imagination.
Kids are free to engage in whichever games they choose, as long as they treat each other and the forest with respect and fairness.

Sign upAll too often we get questions about what we do when it's cold and wet out.
We are an all weather outdoor program, following the philosophy of a Scandinavian Proverb:
"There is no bad weather - only bad clothing."
Our strategies for handling the coldest and wettest of forest days with ease include:
- Layering up the right way
- Using disposable hand and toe warmers
- Packing invigorating food & warm drinks
